Carnarvon

Carnarvon lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River 900 kilometres north of Perth. It has a warm, semi-arid climate.

Carnarvon was founded in 1883, initially as a port and supply centre for the surrounding pastoral region. And while the surrounding stations are still important mining, agriculture, fishing and tourism are other sources of wealth for the region.
