Karolin Rock is in the Shire of Yilgarn, 300 kilometres east-north-east of Perth at 30°59’10″S 118°55’14″E.
It is south of the Koorda-Bullfinch Road and east of Bodallin North Road, about five kilometres south-east of the better known Baladgie Rock.
Its name was recorded by surveyor H.S. King in 1889.
The disused wells on the north side of the rock receive harvested water from the 20 hectares (200,000 square metres) of granite outcrop.
From 1988 until 2021 the Bicentennial plaque for Carolling Rocks (current day Karalee Rock) was mistakenly installed here until relocated by this Project to its correct position at Karalee.
