Lake Yindarlgooda

Lake Yindarlgooda is a large, shallow hypersaline lake, typical of the region,  60 kilometres ENE of Kalgoorlie.

Historically, it is known gold producing area. Nickel, cobalt, silver, copper, chromite, zinc, platinum and palladium have also been noted in the area.

Surveyor W.P.Goddard recorded this aboriginal name for the lake in 1890. Sections of the lake were known as Lake Lapage and Cooragoogine Lake, however, in 1979 the name Lake Yindarlgooda was applied to the whole feature.
