Derby Visitor Centre produce a very good booklet titled Gibb River and Kalumburu Roads Travellers Guide to the Inland Kimberley and Mitchell Plateau.

If time is available the Mitchell Plateau is a really worthwhile addition to the trip along the Gibb River Road.
